Small quilts that reflect what the theme means to CRQ members. The quilts should reflect a personal interpretation of what RED, WHITE & BLUE mean to you. These quilts are newly made specifically for the challenge. See note below to address other RED, WHITE & BLUE quilts.
Challenge Activity Criteria:
- Any size up to
36” x 36” (largest) not to exceed size requirements. As a group we felt that due to space
limitations and the ability to complete a project and to encourage many
participants this was very important. We
will not accept quilts that are larger than these dimensions.
Colours: - RED, WHITE & BLUE to be incorporated within the quilt however great or
small. Any types of fabrics (i.e. silks,
wools), any types of quilts. For example
a mini medallion quilt pattern might be an option to illustrate the notion of
Fireworks incorporating the theme colours.
Submission Deadline: - All Challenge
Quilts are due by the December 2015 Business meeting. At that meeting members will select by vote
(25 cents a vote) their favourite submission.
Entry Limit: - No more than two
quilts may be submitted to the 2016 RED, WHITE
& BLUE Challenge. Must be a new quilt made specifically for the
challenge.
Recognition: - 1st, 2nd
and 3rd Place to be awarded.
Determined by amount of monies collected for each item.
Note: Other RED, WHITE & BLUE quilts that members may have are welcome and will be displayed upstairs in keeping with the theme; however they will not be part of the 2016 RED, WHITE & BLUE Challenge.
