Workshops
The Colorado River Quilter's conduct workshops on the first and forth Thursday of every month. Typically the fourth Thursday introduces a new project and the first Thursday is a follow-up day, an opportunity to complete what was being worked on the previous Thursday. There are no formal workshops in July and August however there usually is one or two summer quilting activities for members to participate in. These are usually decided on before the summer break and presented toward the month of May.
Many of the workshops have no fees attached except for the materials needed to complete a given project. Featured guests are invited on occasion to share their expertise to provide new skills to our members - there may be a fee on these occasions. There is a Workshop Committee that puts together all of the Guild workshops for members. New ideas are always welcome and the committee is open to any suggestions one might have in regards to a workshop.
Projects from workshops are showcased by members at the monthly General Meeting and it is always fun to see how each member adds her own flair - often generating new ideas for other members.
